LOW-PRESSURE AEROSOL EXTRACTION

Extract high-quality full-spectrum botanical oils at room temperature using the safest and most efficient method in the industry. COMERG’s ATOMIC extraction platform provides the highest terpene and active compound retention at the lowest operating cost, suitable for flavors, fragrances, and phytopharmaceutical applications.

COMPLIANCE SUPPORT & FACILITY DESIGN

No high-pressure classified facility required. COMERG ensures regulatory compliance from the ground up – in equipment design, safety standards, and operational procedures. All systems are built to ASME, UL, and International Fire Code standards with food-grade materials.

ONSITE TRAINING & COMMISSIONING

We offer on-site workforce training and equipment commissioning to ensure the success of your new extraction facility. Training covers installation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and method validation of final extracts. We stay until your team is producing at full capacity.

ATOMIC Platform

A breakthrough in liquefied gas extraction.

COMERG’s Low Pressure Extraction technology combines novel methods based on tetrafluoroethane (TFE) — a solvent often overlooked for historical reasons, but with measurable advantages over CO₂.

  • Inert & residue-free. TFE only decomposes under extreme conditions, leaving nothing in the end product.
  • Lower CapEx and OpEx. Critical pressures and temperatures are well below CO₂, enabling cheaper, smaller apparatus.
  • Higher polarity than CO₂. Better selectivity for sensitive aromatics with far less material degradation.
  • Produced at scale. High purity TFE is widely available, keeping solvent costs predictable.
What we extract

From volatile aromatics to pharmacological actives.

Universal extraction across botanical families. The non-polar TFE solvent at low and moderate pressures selectively pulls flavor and aroma compounds — what we call hash resin.

From feedstock to oleoresin

Five steps. One closed loop. Zero residue.

Click any step to see what happens inside the vessel.

01

Load

Raw plant material — dry or fresh — is loaded into the extraction vessel.

  • Material can be fresh, dry, or pre-ground — no specific pre-treatment required
  • Vessel size scales from lab (2L) to industrial (1000L+) with the same process parameters
  • Both whole and milled material supported; particle size affects contact surface and yield
  • No drying required — TFE works equally well with high-moisture feedstocks
No pre-treatment chemicals, no drying ovens, no heat exposure at any stage.
02

Pressurize

TFE is introduced at 2–9 bar. No oxygen, no light, no heat exposure.

  • TFE (tetrafluoroethane / R134a) introduced in liquid phase at low pressure
  • 2–9 bar operating pressure vs 74–300 bar for supercritical CO₂
  • Vessel remains sealed — zero air or light contact during the entire cycle
  • Pressure is maintained by a simple refrigeration-grade compressor
Standard industrial safety ratings apply. No ATEX zone, no explosion-proof requirements.
03

Extract

Selective dissolution of aroma and active compounds at room temperature.

  • TFE’s higher polarity vs CO₂ selectively solubilises volatile aromatics, essential oils, waxes and actives
  • Process runs at ambient temperature — heat-sensitive terpenes and esters are fully preserved
  • Extraction time varies by material: typically 20–90 minutes per batch
  • No water, no ethanol, no co-solvents needed for most applications
Result: “hash resin” — a concentrated oleoresin carrying the full botanical fingerprint.
04

Recover

Solvent flashes off in a closed-loop recovery system. No emissions.

  • TFE is routed to a recovery vessel where it reverts to gas at ambient pressure
  • Gas is re-compressed and re-liquefied — solvent reuse rate typically >98%
  • No vent-to-atmosphere, no solvent waste stream, no effluent treatment
  • Recovery system is compact — standard refrigeration components
Fully contained in a closed loop. No process emissions.
05

Refine

Hash-resin oleoresin collected, ready for direct food, cosmetic or pharma use.

  • End product: a concentrated resinous oleoresin with zero solvent residue
  • Suitable for direct use in food, beverages, cosmetics and phytopharmacy without further purification
  • Optional post-processing: winterisation, decolorisation, or fractional separation available
  • Product analysis: GC-MS terpene profiling and heavy-metal testing available on request
Ready for immediate formulation. No additional solvent stripping steps needed.

Mega Spectrum Oil

Beyond full-spectrum — the complete essence of the plant.

“Mega Spectrum Oil (MSO) is a plant-specific botanical extract that preserves the broadest possible range of naturally occurring plant compounds, including oleoresins, terpenes, flavonoids, esters, thiols, phenols, aldehydes, ketones, alcohols, lipids, and other volatile and non-volatile phytochemicals found in the original plant. Unlike conventional extracts that selectively isolate or remove portions of the plant’s chemical profile, Mega Spectrum Oil is designed to maintain the native biochemical fingerprint of the source cultivar, providing a more complete representation of the plant’s natural composition.”

This ultra-clean, ultra-complete oil delivers the deepest entourage effect for a truly therapeutic experience. Suitable for direct use in food, cosmetics, aromatherapy, and phytopharmaceutical applications.

Fragrance & Flavor

“We replaced our CO₂ line with the COMERG ATOMIC system two years ago. The rose damascena extract quality is simply incomparable — the native scent retention is something we have never achieved with supercritical CO₂ at any pressure setting.”
